Outreach is comprised of (a) helping constituents understand the purpose, role, structure, and culture of UVSA, and (b) identifying individuals who will be able to step up into the Executive Board (E-Board) and Intercollegiate Council (ICC) positions as part of the long-term sustainability goal.
Stakeholder's Input SurveyThe Refresh Project Committee conducted a survey to assess the issues and needs within UVSA. The Committee also received an in-depth letter from one stakeholder analyzing the problems in UVSA's presence within one of the VSAs.Public EducationProposed Constitutional AmendmentsThe Proposed Constitutional Amendments will include a new amendment process that focuses on consensus-building among the constituents of UVSA, by requiring not just the current ICC representatives to approve the amendments, but also the officers of affiliated VSAs. The Refresh Project Committee will be producing literature of the major proposed changes, a basic understanding of the structure, and explaining the logic and motivations behind the proposed amendments. They will then reach out to the cabinet of every affiliated VSAs to make presentations. Leadership RolesFilling Vacant Offices of the Current E-Board TermThe Refresh Project Committee has identified 13 candidates to fill vacancies for the current term of E-Board. Currently, none of these candidates has expressed interest in filling the vacant roles for this term. The UVSA Refresh Project Committee has postponed the priority of filling the vacant roles. (The next opportunity to revisit this issue is in producing candidates for the 2012 Election, though this is not on the agenda for the Refresh Committee at the time of this writing.) |
